Twitter is used by a vast amount of artists. It would be pretty bad if it imploded entirely, which seems to be where it's heading.

Well I only fear that if twitter goes down then it will cause a refugee crisis like tumblr did when they banned porn which cause the worse people to take refuge on sites that many like and cause it to be as bad as tumblr. So yeah the merit of twitter is that it holds a lot of the crazies.
