And: post #1316581 (Bigger, but has the 'redistribution is not allowed' message on it) and this post #1139429 (Cropped version of the former). What do?

If the watermark is by the original artist than I would delete the cropped version. Having a 'redistribution is not allowed' message on it means that the artist has not released the image to the public and should be treated the same as a post from a paysite. It's no different then if an artist where to call up lozer and tell him to remove his/her work. Delete them both.

The paysite rule specifies paysites, not non-paysites. The reason that we can't host paysite material isn't because the artist doesn't want it distributed, but because we are hurting someone's business and they can sue for that alone.

The artist is Japanese and only international copyright laws apply. The FBI can't bash lozer for non fair use of the image but it is still inconsiderate to the artist. (Finding protected work like this is rare outside of doujinshi/manga.)

Sure, it's inconsiderate. However, that hasn't stopped us before.

Excessive gore? I thought I'd ask before just deleting.

I'm fine with it, rofl.

straight_shota is redundant. Since it isn't difficult at all to find the same images using a small set of tags, it doesn't need to be made into a pool to be replaced.

I'm going to start going through and removing straight_shota, and adding the tags that would be necessary for finding images listed under it.

This means that instead of searching for "straight_shota", people will need to search "shota -yaoi", with potentially other tags such as "-solo" or specific sex acts to narrow it down more.

Any objections?

Glad I wasn't the only one who felt straight_shota was a silly tag, especially when there isn't one for straight_loli. It never made sense to me to have that for shota, but not loli.

I am currently in the process of trying to convince Danbooru to alias "straight_shota" to "shota".

If I succeed, then there should be absolutely nothing stopping the change from occurring here too.

EDIT: So this is how the people posting in the oppai_loli and c*n* threads felt. This is quite interesting.

I have noticed a number of poorly tagged images, or simply mis-marked, particularly regarding the "safe, questionable, explicit". For example, this image by karasu would most likely be questionable (and since I might not be certain I'd definitely leave it questionable):
gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=777565
But this image by the same artist features full nudity and I believe would then require rating "explicit"
gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=779121

It is my understanding of site rules that images including full nudity should be labeled "explicit", though when I attempt to edit the image to correct this after hitting "save changes" all I see is a redirect to my mail and nothing on the image has changed. I've even checked back a few days later.

Is this sort of tagging restricted to mods only?

No, and full nudity goes into questionable. Explicit is for full-on sex.
