The most recent note at the top of the page states that the site should be running faster now. From my experience in the last day speeds were still slow.

The site's speed wasn't particularly reliable before though.
Its just better than it was 12 hours ago. And I'm pretty sure Lozer changed to a different server or provider. I do not know if it is better or worse than the older one.

We didn't change to a different server or provider. After all, lozer owns all of Gelbooru's servers, so changing to new ones would cost a lot of money, and the only "providers" we have are the ISP and the datacenter where we keep the servers.
The cause of the slowdown was because we disabled CloudFlare, which created a cloud backup of the site and took a large chunk of the load away from being directly on our servers. This was necessary because one of the servers wasn't in working condition.
Bandwidth is no longer available and the other server that was repaired is now being brought online to help compensate for extra processing power and disk reading speed.
