Glad we could reach an understanding.
Besides, the standards of forum posts and user comments are quite different. Comments on posts are usually a lot quicker, shorter, and posted in the heat of the moment, therefore they could get away with more crass language. Do note that comments also get deleted if they break the rules or are too crass/offensive, so it's not like a total free for all.

Even if I'm only using slurs that would be used against me personally? Lame, though I empathize with the moderation difficulties ruling otherwise would impose. Fair enough all around I guess.

C'mon dude, don't assume I'm offended over words simply because I bring up that it's dumb to expect most people won't think they're being insulted.
It's like saying "hey ugly whores who visit this website"
Second, it's not really civil or productive to fling around words like that. It invites bad faith and more bad actors. We have some standards, as dead as this forum can be.
