Actually, it's the complete opposite for me.

If there's one thing that's an absolute truth, is that the hentai of now has definitely improved in every front.
Back in 2008, if you wanted a full animation of a specific character, you were out of luck.
The new stuff is much better than the old stuff.

Giga based As you say, everything has improved since then. Specially if we speak about 3D! I believe that it is not only due to the fact that computers are getting better each year, but it is also due to the fact that making this type of art is becoming much easier thanks to the improvements in the programs used for this. Now with AI the most annoying tasks will be gone and hopefully things like rigging will disappear one day and it will be done automatically :D
It has never been easier for independent artists to make 3D stuff.

Since you're ignoring SadSap I'll assume you're answering to me so... I never said you said that xD I was just agreeing on SadSap's opinion. I really think there has been a big improvement in art quality through years and I'm expecting to be HUGE ones in the next ones thanks to AI.

Yeah perhaps I misread the initial statements, but I still needed to get that out there.
I do get nostalgic over older hentai images and my experiences with them, but you know what I don't miss? Not being able to find a specific type of picture I wanted.
I've always liked big butts and I had a huge crush on Sheik as a preteen, and it sucked that this was pretty much the only big booty picture of Sheik there ever was at the time.

Yeah, exactly dude. The 3D stuff is only going to get better and better and I'm very hopeful on what the future will bring. The new technology only helps bring out these with talent and skill.
Another huge factor is the fast growing popularity of anime and hentai. When you've got hot chicks who are openly into fanservice-filled anime AND hentai these days, you know it's mainstream.
I do get nostalgic over older hentai images and my experiences with them, but you know what I don't miss? Not being able to find a specific type of picture I wanted.

This is really cool seeing all the art that has came through here. I originally arrived here from Loli 'R Us in the winter of 2008, so it's refreshing to see some of the stuff that was popular then. Gelbooru was also a good way to stay ahead of the curve of what trended in anime/games. This place was my introduction to Touhou, got to to enjoy all the fan animations on here and YouTube. Even played and 1CC'd some of the games. Also discovered Zankuro here, one of the best loli artist/animators out there with all the right proportions

Even though his works have slowed down, he's still one of the favs. This site also the doorway to finding Kenkou_Cross and his Monster Girl Encyclopedia which was a fun read. It's enjoyable to see different progress of various artists. Some hit their zenith and stay the same, while others still change through the decades.
Mostly lurked in the archives and had small discussions in the comments sections. It's a little less lively now then it was back then

so recently been observing the forums. Seeing what members are still active, and listening to Lozer's and the mods 2-cents on topics. It's always interesting to see how one of the oldest sites I visit is ran. Also another takeaway so far on the forums, seeing the closet lolicon shoehorn their feigned shock in numerous threads. Thinking their response is read by a fresh new set of eyes when really it's still the same people from the other threads. "Something, something, disturbing, something, oppai is different, something." It's usually an amusing read with everyone else's reactions, lol
Haven't been back to the other site that much since then (think it goes by another name now if it isn't defunct) but I do follow various Loli game dev's on All The Fallen to see what mods/games that are being worked on. The dedication of them is something else. But here is still the main site to see what art is happening
